Keeping Peace on the Agenda: Civil Society in Times of Global Instability - Annual Report 2025

The year 2025 was one of the most challenging periods for peacebuilding in recent memory. Against a background of heightened geopolitical instability and overlapping global crises, the importance of sustained, inclusive peacebuilding efforts became more evident than ever. In this context, the vital role of civil society in conflict prevention, social cohesion, and locally-led peacebuilding was strongly reaffirmed.

Despite an increasingly constrained global environment, the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS) made significant progress in strengthening collective action, amplifying local voices, and advancing policy influence. Throughout the year, CSPPS played a key role in several collective initiatives.

With the invaluable support of our members, we are pleased to present an engaging and insightful overview of our activities over the past year. In our Annual Report 2025 titled 'Keeping Peace on the Agenda: Civil Society in Times of Global Instability', you will discover the breadth and impact of CSPPS’s work.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this report, as well as to all our members and partners for a successful and collaborative 2025. We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to our donors for their ongoing support and look forward to our continued partnership.
